Elves
Races: High Elves, common elves
The elves are perhaps the most racist of all the Seamont species, particularly High Elves. Common elves will associate with human species, other than dwarves, but will only start romantic relationships and deep friendships with other common elves, and generally think less of non-elves. High Elves only live in communities of other High Elves and look down on anyone else, including common elves.
High Elves are magic users, drawing their powers from nature. They generally will only wear cloth or leather clothing, as metal is considered unnatural and, in large amounts, can even stifle their powers. High Elves are great healers and are the best method of treating Acirassi Virus, but refuse to use their powers for anyone other than other High Elves.
Common elves have magic, but it is so weak that they are generally classified as nonmagical. They have a strong affinity with nature and generally have one or more animal companion that they consider a companion rather than a pet.
The physical difference between High Elves and common elves is not obvious if you haven't had it pointed out to you, but is actually rather noticeable. High Elves are about a foot taller and carry themselves upright with pristine posture. Common elves seem more lithe, like they are always ready to break into a run. High Elves also have longer ears, which stand straighter than those of a common elf.
There are always rule breakers, so it is possible for a High Elf and a common elf to produce offspring. These offspring are technically not hybrids, as the two races are of the same species, so they have a much lower mortality than halfbreeds. They are referred to as mixed elves and aren't really liked by anyone.
It is somewhat important to notice the grammatical different between the names of the two races. Both words in 'High Elf' are always capitalized, while 'common elf' is always lowercase, unless at the beginning of a sentence.

Humans
Races: common, dwarves, warlocks, clerics
Approximately 75% of the Seamont population is human, mostly common or dwarven. Dwarves and common humans are non-magical, while warlocks and clerics have very strong magic.
Common humans are pretty much identical to Earth humans. There are really no notable differences.
Dwarves are short and stout in appearance, often with wispy mustaches or, in the case of the males, large, full beards. They often have a very high alcohol tolerance and drink like fiends. They are the butt of much of the country's racism, and are often not considered human.
Warlocks draw their magic from the darkness and can create demons to be their pets or minions. They look similar to common humans, though they have very large, light colored irises and generally very small pupils.
Clerics use holy magic derived from deities. They are always church leaders, in training to become church leaders, or Enforcers. There are no other career options for a cleric. They look identical to common humans.
Any child born of a dwarf and another human race is known as a half-dwarf, but any other mix is just called a human.

Orcs
Orcs care far too little about what they're breeding with for different races to have developed.
Orcish flesh can range from peach to gray to green to black in color. They are very dumb and do not have any political rights. If they didn't breed with other humanoid species so often, they would likely be considered animals. Males and females are equally as big and burly, so it is hard to know which you are dealing with until it is upon you. They are completely hairless.

Halfbreeds
Halfbreeds are the results of breeding between the three dominant species. Halfbreeds are usually infertile and frequently suffer negative effects of their breeding. The different types of halfbreeds are half-elves, half-orcs, and orc-elves.
Half-orcs and orc-elves are the most common types of halfbreeds, due to the orc's preoccupation with sex and tendency to stick its dick in whatever comes along, with or without permission. The genes for orcish facial features are very strong, so it is very easy to pick out an orcish halfbreed. Half-orcs look very much like regular orcs, though smaller, and it is very easily to confuse the two. Orc-elves usually have pointed ears, but they are not as long as they are on an elf.
Half-elves are far less common. Elves usually will not breed with humans and, when they do, the resulting infants have a high mortality rate. Elven magic is often to strong for a half-human body, so the child will frequently end up accidentally killing itself. Common elf hybrids are more likely to survive that high elf hybrids, as their magic is weaker.
